I’ve come to the conclusion that every Kingdom Hearts trailer/opening movie ever makes me feel like I will die if I don’t own/play/complete the game.

The fact that I don’t have a 3DS or any money is currently making me want to curl up in dark corner and cry because even the little clips and things I’ve seen from Dream Drop Distance are making my heart drown in feels.

So I’ve been playing Final Fantasy XIII-2.

As far as games go, this thing is more-or-less a very pretty mess. I’m on the second last chapter, and, while I have more-or-less settled into the (rather unsteady) rhythm of the game, I’m not entirely sure whether I’m enjoying it or whether it’s just my completionist tendencies that are driving me to slog through every damn bit of the storyline.

Anyway, here are some observations about it. Spoilers ahead!

I always thought Odin Sphere was a game that deserved a bit more love. It was a really well put-together story, and the characters were great. Not to mention how pretty it was.
